Besides input from a mouse or a keyboard, would it be possible to record responses from a USB gamepad, for example using the SR Box plugin? There’s much bigger issues in the world, I know. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Two final remarks probably obvious: Is this what you have done?

In Presentation mode, also called ASCII mode, the response box sends a single character each time a button is pressed. Resonse looked on the Cedrus website, and they claim to offer support for Python. No character is sent on button release. I’d imagine so, but I don’t have one to test. There is no way to tell if 2 buttons are held down at the same time – you will never get any response other than the 6 shown below.
